Lecture Accomplished!

So I’m sitting at a cafe at Smith College writing this, finally calm and finally relaxed. Lecture accomplished! I was pretty nervous. I’ve taught and lectured  before but it certainly wasn’t as personal. The night before I was up practicing til about midnight but then my brain wouldn’t shut up until 3AM!

One Year Anniversary!

It’s hard to believe it’s our one year anniversary!  A year has past since Jennifer designed and launched this blog as a commemoration to my father’s artwork. She also wanted to have it up and running prior to our first trip to Paris, February 2013. There, we attended Jeff Cody’s presentation of my father’s work,…

She and the  editor, Pat Kirkham found our website about Liu Jipiao. They were putting together a text book, History of Design – Decorative Arts and Material Culture, 1400-1900.

One Memorable Thanksgiving!

Today, I am in Honolulu with my friends, Jetty and Miller, whom we met via Jenn researching my father’s artwork. I’ve blogged many times how grateful I am to be alive, for my family and friends all over the world. In thinking about what I would write this day, I recall one memorable Thanksgiving at…

Food Memories Of My Father

After this last trip I still find myself still recalling some of the things my father said to me about France. I continue to be amazed at how my childhood perceptions was so wrong! Here are some food memories of my father.

Every Time I Go to Paris

Every time I go to Paris, I learn more about the father I never knew. This time was no different! Emotions overwhelmed me as Curator, Emmanuel Breon’s guided VIP tour reached my father’s display during the L’inauguration of the Art Deco Exhibit  at Cite de l’architecture et du patrimoine on the evening of October 14th.
