World Congress on Art Deco – Paris
I am excited to announce that I have been honored with the privilege of lecturing at the 17th World Congress on Art Deco 2025 which will be held in Paris this October! And I was told on the week of my grandfather’s birthday (June 4th)! I look forward to celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Paris Exposition of 1925 in style!! (and my 60th birthday)

I’m also excited because I will have the opportunity to meet some of the grandchildren of artists that participated in the Expo in 1925 at the Congress! I’d like to find out what they’ve done with the legacy their grandparents have left them.
Sometimes I take a breath and look back at how it all started. (Especially as I revise my presentation for upcoming events.) It’s been 12 years since my family went to Paris and took part in the Art Deco exhibit at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine. (I can’t believe it’s been that long already!!) My first major lecture on my grandfather, Liu Jipiao was in Shanghai 10 years ago at the World Congress in Shanghai! And just this year LJP had his first solo exhibit! I think about all the friends we’ve made along the way and how they have all enriched our lives in so many different ways.
We are truly grateful.
